trizZzle Welcome to the forums TrizZzle! Indeed even a small game can turn into an overwhelming amount of work! It is very fun tho and rewarding. Starting small would be smart =D

hello fellow godot superfans!

i've been into gaming since before i could read, and that was about 20-ish years ago. after learning about godot, discussing game design with friends and family, and watching videos for weeks, my interest has finally gotten piqued enough to finally try and learn an engine, and godot (as well as gdscript) seemed like the most welcoming for a true blue beginner. it helps that i'm already a fan of some published titles made in godot, notably cassette beasts and endoparasitic.

while i'm excited to check out what other people have made and are currently working on, my priority for being here is looking for help and suggestions while i struggle through learning to code (and maybe, eventually, i'll even be helping others just starting like me out!) i'm looking forward to talking and sharing ideas with people! ✌️

Hi İ am a newbie gamedev, mostly as a hobby but we'll see how it goes.

bradimey Hey, welcome! And glad you feel this way about the community. We have great people here with different life experiences hanging out.

      Hexxxen Welcome! Have fun building!

      Hello everyone!

My name is Nautilus and I am making, alongside a great friend of mine, our first game! That will also be our first commercial game! Challenges, yes! lol

Anyway, we were making that game in Unity until Unity decided to do what it did recently, so looking for alternatives, we landed on Godot! So I hope that, in this journey that we go through learning the engine and getting to know each other, we have a lot of fun, and hopefully at least some success.

I hope we have a great time together!

Hi everyone, my name is Jim and I just joined today. I'm working through two basic platformer projects through YouTube. One in 2D and the other in 3D. I'm a CS student and was told to learn game dev on my own since CS doesn't cover it. I like the tree structure of Godot, is there a repo of community nodes to make game dev easier?

Hi all. I'm Nick, a creative/developer. I've been a writer all my life, during the pandemic I taught myself how to code video games and discovered Godot in the process. I've been hooked ever since, great development environment & community. I have a number of projects in the works, signed up here so I can ask questions when I run into roadblocks I can't solve (and help folks with answers if I can). Looking forward to connecting.

Ah I see, wow it's built into the editor and everything! I was think of things like small scripts to do one thing, but there's entire programs and tools here! I'm looking around now.

Hi everyone. My name is Jesus.
I was making games in blender game engine for a few years, and after it died I moved to unity.
Last month I started using godot and I really like all the features it offers.
I do mostly prototypes and test games, but I'm hoping to someday make a complete game.

              Hello, guys and gals.
I'm a 2D, 3D artist and game developer, mostly working in RenPy.
Still new to godot, so I may have to bother you guys for a bit with some questions and stuff, hopefully no one minds.

Hey everyone! I'm based in Sydney, and I am a Product Manager with a background in software development (Web & Mobile). I recently started having a go with Godot4, and I am finding it really easy to use and exciting.
Feel free to reach out for collaborations!
