Hello everyone,
I haven't done much coding since the late 90s / early aughts. The kids are taking coding and cybersecurity in school. They like making art and music. So, of course, I recommended they try their hands at game dev.
I have some rust to sand off before I can really help the kids with it, but I did a bit of coding when I was young, studied visual communication, and have certainly played a lot of games over the decades. I recommended they use the Godot engine, so I need to learn a bit about it (and get back into the dev mindset) so I can help them learn it.
We (mostly, I) have built a couple of small prototypes of various genre games, but have not yet built any complete, original projects.
