Hi İ am a newbie gamedev, mostly as a hobby but we'll see how it goes.
Lets introduce ourselves!
Hello everyone!
My name is Nautilus and I am making, alongside a great friend of mine, our first game! That will also be our first commercial game! Challenges, yes! lol
Anyway, we were making that game in Unity until Unity decided to do what it did recently, so looking for alternatives, we landed on Godot! So I hope that, in this journey that we go through learning the engine and getting to know each other, we have a lot of fun, and hopefully at least some success.
I hope we have a great time together!
Hi everyone, my name is Jim and I just joined today. I'm working through two basic platformer projects through YouTube. One in 2D and the other in 3D. I'm a CS student and was told to learn game dev on my own since CS doesn't cover it. I like the tree structure of Godot, is there a repo of community nodes to make game dev easier?
Hi all. I'm Nick, a creative/developer. I've been a writer all my life, during the pandemic I taught myself how to code video games and discovered Godot in the process. I've been hooked ever since, great development environment & community. I have a number of projects in the works, signed up here so I can ask questions when I run into roadblocks I can't solve (and help folks with answers if I can). Looking forward to connecting.

JimWizard is there a repo of community nodes
There's an asset library, if that's what you mean.

Ah I see, wow it's built into the editor and everything! I was think of things like small scripts to do one thing, but there's entire programs and tools here! I'm looking around now.
Hi everyone. My name is Jesus.
I was making games in blender game engine for a few years, and after it died I moved to unity.
Last month I started using godot and I really like all the features it offers.
I do mostly prototypes and test games, but I'm hoping to someday make a complete game.
Hello, guys and gals.
I'm a 2D, 3D artist and game developer, mostly working in RenPy.
Still new to godot, so I may have to bother you guys for a bit with some questions and stuff, hopefully no one minds.
Hey everyone! I'm based in Sydney, and I am a Product Manager with a background in software development (Web & Mobile). I recently started having a go with Godot4, and I am finding it really easy to use and exciting.
Feel free to reach out for collaborations!

Ah, games in Blender. I remember experimenting with it a long time ago.
Big welcome!

Welcome everybody!
Good day everyone! Good mood to everyone!
Hi. I'm Steve. Been in computers since punch cards (IBM 370/115 running DOS/VSE). I live in Kentucky just across the river from Cincy. I'm learning Godot because I was halfway through Unity's track for learning Unity and then they decided to become, uh, unhinged. Why was I learning Unity? Because my grandson in second grade, and is a very talented artist, decided he wanted to make computer games. Tried to narrow it down. Do you want to make the graphics? (Crazy artistic.) Design? Storyline? Programming? His response was, "Yes." Ok.
"So," I asked, "What brought this on?" "I want to make games with Unity." Brain stopped working for a millisecond, then... "How in the H*££ do you know about Unity?" "Oh, my classmate writes games in Unity."
So, I bought him a year of Tynker and turned him loose. Started learning Unity so I could help him. I'm now anti-Unity and decided to give Godot a whirl.
