MikeCL Thx. I didn't finish writing the entire story yet, still has some holes and i don't want to give the plot away. But it's about this birman cat Pufu that is coming back home from his adventures in the big city. Coming home he finds some strange things and traces of something sinister behind this fake jolly mirage of warmth. His best friend is missing and he starts a small journey trying to find him and what happened to him.

I'm going for a simple fun game that people would prefer to play windowed while doing something else. Something that doesn't require too much brain power. In a few words i'm going for something fun and funny, energic and rewarding.

        Still working on the game. Improving, remaking, adding new stuff, characters, levels, functionality, powerups, special effects etc. Im going to leave just this as a sneak preview until i have something coagulated enough for public display. Probably gonna drop another trailer video thing when ready.

        I was set back a ton because i was on trial for 2 years by the Romanian government for a mistake i made when changing my driver license. Basically instead of saying i lost my UK driver license i said i lost my Romanian one, a mistake detected on the spot, with 0 consequences, 0 damage, 0 benefits. For this, despite admitting everything i was called to criminal investigations and court for 2 years in another city, tried and convicted to a fine and 2 years i am monitored by probation and i am forced to go to their meetings until 2026.

          Unfortunately, external reasons very often become a serious obstacle in the realization of our plans. I can only wish you to find inner strength to hold on and not to stop on your way. 🍻

              Catalin That interior scene is looking nice but could use some ambient occlusion.

                  xyz Thank you, i'm working from the ground up, at the moment everything is off. Near the end i will add settings to activate and increase everything to personal preferences. I want it to be decent/good even on low end machines and mobiles. Btw i am making this on a dual core laptop, so increasing stuff while developing it's going to cause me problems to begin with. Had immense FPS issues and it turned out my fans where clogged with some fluffy fluf, i cleared it and now easy stable 60+ FPS.

                    This old cat can learn tricks, and spells.

                    Step1 : learn spell from book (the text in the summoning circle sais what it does and it has color code)
                    Step2: power it up, in this case with catnip
                    Step3: spin like a delusional schitzophrenic while foaming at the mouth (new feature maybe?)

                    I'm off to do a weapons system and other stuff, hopefully to finish a demo or something until Christmas. Cya then

                    In case anybody wonders if this is still going, yes it is. Im thinking of releasing a small demo or something soon. Adding the finishing touches on the first levels and mechanics. If anybody wants to follow my stuff i suggest Youtube or Tiktok.

                      Catalin Nice! I'll try it when you have the demo out. Performance seems to have greatly improved compared to video before 👍

                          Thank you ! Yea, i'm recording with the Godot internal Movie Maker thing, my laptop is too tomato for OBS, that's why the other vids where low FPS. Now i forgot to check the record settings and it came out pixelated X_x whatever. Here's the last update for now. Next in a few months 👍 :

                              Make the camera more smoother please, like camera not directly attached to the player or has smoother bungee type attachement... otherwise people like me are getting motion sick 😃

                              Why cat is walking upwards? Why not on 4 legs?

                              Loved the "POW" type effect when you land a hit 😃

                                    kuligs2 Thank you. Hmm you mean like the camera to lag a bit behind? That might be a good idea, i will write it down and see what i can do after i finish with the critical stuff.

                                          you can, mount the weapons on the back or have another creature ride the cat and shoot.
