An old problem that was previously solved has returned. Shading of pop-up windows. It would be great if it can be fixed again. Is that possible?
A Warm Welcome Back to the Godot Forums, Under New Stewardship!
Cool!! Thanks for doing this!
If at all possible, can we think about having a page with a categorized list of forums, like a typical phpBB does it? One thing I don't like about this forum is it behaves like a giant twitter feed with everything disappearing at the bottom unless stickied.

Sadly I'm not aware of an option to make it the front page.
Thanks for helping the community!
Thanks for bringing it back. The forums went down like, the exact second I started working on a game again and went to look up tutorials. Nice to have it back honestly.
davek I think that would require whole different CMS altogether, like this for example https://godot.community/
It's not something Flarum can do out of the box
:-)
¡yess!
Hey, can you delete the thread that started this whole mess?
The last thing I want is for newcomers to see that and not use the engine forever.

Nothing on the internet can be deleted definitively "The internet remembers everything" If this topic is deleted, it gives conspiracy theorists a chance to talk about silencing the problems with Godot.
Only conspiracists will post the first and possibly last posts from this thread to support their theory. Skipping the entire discussion with counter arguments. Which will do far more damage to the community than keeping the entire thread with objections.
Keeping the topic is not good either, but it's a classic choice between bad and very bad — there is no good solution.
You sound like a great guy pal, Many thanks for setting this up!
As I am new to GoDot, i'll shortly intro myself. I haven't developed a game in over a decade and my previous engine of choice was DXStudio. I have here and there been keeping my eye open for another engine I could use and thus far GoDot is #1 from the ones i've tried off and on.
I may eventually work on a production game but for now, i'm having a lot of fun with GDScript and some of the great new features in GoDot.
Having this forum is something I hope helps me get better and i will also provide help to others as i get a bit more experience.
again, thank you for hosting these forums!
The forum is currently not linked on the Godot community page (https://godotengine.org/community/). Pretty sure it was listed there before, because that is how I found the forum in the first place. Has there been any attempts yet at contacting the Godot community team to have the forum listed again? Or are we putting that off until all the kinks have been worked out?
I'm so glad the forum is back again! It went down like a few days after I registered. Not the most pleasant experience xD
Little suggestion, I think this forum should have a chat and people not get so worked up if the conversation strays a little as long as it doesn't personally offend anyone. Yeah, it's all right only talking about game development, but I don't see where it hurts to talk about something else once in a while.

fire7side I think technically there already is? tags > community > general chat
it's a bit hidden so I don't blame you at all for not knowing about it
the bigger issue I see is that people come here for the specific purpose of game development, so if a more prominent general chat showed up I have a feeling it would be ignored by most.
edit: or did I misread you and what you meant was that everyone should have a chat with each other about being too stick-up-your-behind about staying on topic?

Rules were the issue not the tag/category for it. And Cybereality changed and simplified the rules precisely to enabled that, to have some more off topic community discussions. And predictably that did lead to problems.
I do not disagree tho, there is some room for such looser off topic discussions, but they are also more draining of moderation resources. So step one is to on-board enough moderators that can be trusted to handle it. I expect that will take some time tho.
