The forums are up again! Migration to new forum platform

I miss two things from the previous platform: categories/subforums (whatever you call them) and reactions on past posts seem to have gone missing
There are still categories, but they are called tags. Look on the left of the home screen.
Is there any way to make auto-refresh on the main page, so that you can see new posts?

Not as far as I know, but there is that refresh button on the top right of the content area.

Firefox… what is it? I have Pale Moon. 
It has a sites check for changes, but that, in this case, is not very handy. And simply reloading an individual tab — I couldn't find such an addon.
F5 is about to be wiped out. 
Another possible problem is that sites may consider a third-party attempt to refresh a page as a dos-attack. This has been happening.
Tomcat please flag the posts and then we can deal with it from there.

Update: Forum image uploads have changed slightly. We were using Imgur before, but we just recently started hitting limits for uploads. To prevent this, image uploads are now stored locally on the forums.
(Also - because of this - please do not upload needlessly or tons of files. I pay for hosting and so please be responsible )
Additionally, the forums now allows for uploading zips, audio files, and video files in addition to image files. The max file size though is 8mb - so all files will need to be kept under that size. Finally, please remember that the forums are not guaranteed to keep files uploaded and are not responsible if the files are lost, the forums go down, etc. If the files are important and/or you want to make sure you do not lose them, make a copy, upload to Imgur (or Google Drive, Dropbox, etc) and link to it. In summary: keep a copy yourself if it is important.
Finally: Please note that by uploading images, audio, video, etc, to the forums that you are giving the Godot Community Forums the irrevocable, non-expiring permission to host and redistribute it for the purposes of YOUR forum post. We will not be using your upload commercially or for similar interests, but by uploading you give the forums the right to redistribute the content. This will be added to the rules as well.
I'm concerned about your having to pay for hosting the official forums. Can't this come out of the fund that handles general donations to godot? You know that as soon as you allow zip files, people are going to want to post zipped projects for troubleshooting with every other thread. And I'm sure the images aren't trivial either. Asking people to self-moderate doesn't seem like a good solution.
duane I tried to get official Godot help when I took over the forums a couple years ago, but was told there was not interest. I consider it my donation to Godot

Thankfully though, it is not too expensive compared to what I am paying to host my personal website. The plan I am using technically has “unlimited” bandwidth and hosting storage, but I don’t want to test what the limits of that are, as I am extremely doubtful it is truly unlimited. Self moderation should help keep the “unlimited” mostly there.
(And I can fiddle with the Regex if zips become an issue)
duane While it's true that the origins of this forum is the forum that was originally established as part of godotengine.org it was not just discontinued by the site maintainers because it was too heavy for their hosting solution but also because they didn't have the time nor the resources to properly manage it.
Thankfully with enough begging and prodding select members of the community were trusted with a backup of the forums to bring it back online as a community effort. I.e. it's completely separate from the engine project. The donations on that end go entirely towards engine development. Website and docs are hosted for free afaik by the Software Freedom Conservancy, and it's their server infra that was wholly unsuited to hosting forums, btw.
@TwistedTwigleg could perhaps set up a ko-fi.com account or some such in support of the forum hosting fees if there's enough interest from the community though, I suppose. But I suspect that it's more effort than worth unless there's enough of those interested in it.
I would donate if it helped, ko-fi would be good for this type of thing.

Yeah, especially since they don't take a cut from donations. Or so they claim anyways. Never used it before myself.
For now I don’t mind footing the bill but should it get too costly or something, then I may look into something like ko-fi
