  • Super Practica - An open source game to optimize learning mathematics

Super Practica is a game I'm working on designed to be the optimal method of learning mathematics up to a very advanced level.

But right now I only have this lousy demo.

My confidence that this will be the optimal method derives from having spent a long time researching the issue and making many prototypes to learn from. Then I wrote a novella-length document that I call the Blueprint, which gives an outline of Super Practica's design and the theory behind it.

It's a free and open source game, with the code licensed between AGPL for game-specific things and MIT for general tools.

svetogam changed the title to Super Practica - An open source game to optimize learning mathematics .

v0.7.2 Released

This new demo finally functions as a proof of concept that people other than myself can understand. It features a small example of a complete level progression.

v0.8.0 Released

No new content here unfortunately, but it looks kind of nice now. Just look at that smooth level selection!

svetogam Not sure if this might make some people dizzy, but yeah this does indeed look pretty dope!

Toxe Yeah, right? hahah- those first twelve seconds were a roller coaster ride. And then you're like "hmm, educational game... hmmm..."
Made me wonder if I'd do things different- what if your math was needed to prepare the defenses against invading orcs or something? Your anti-air guns just don't work if you get the math wrong =D

      I agree with @ Erich_L
