Hmm, hard question... I'd really love to make an interactive FMV movie, something similar to Mia and the Dragon Princess or Dark Side of the Moon, but obviously different enough to avoid copyright infringement.

Also a Super Mario inspired 2D platformer starring me as the main character, if I didn't suck at graphics I'd have a go at that in Godot.

Or a comedy version of Theme Hospital, the original was pretty funny though, one of the last PC games I bought was Hysteria Hospital by Codemasters, it was a more Business oriented version of Theme Hospital, with similar comedy ailments, I'd like to try something similar.

That video didn't strike me as any sort of attack, let alone a personal one. There's probably already a game similar to pretty much anything you can think of. I'd find it amusing if someone pointed that out to me about one of my games, only mine are so derivative that no one would bother. 🙂

Meternik Unless you have the Portal license, you wouldn't legally be allowed to make Portal 3, the owners would be within their rights to sue the pants off you for copyright infringement, and probably would... As I recall back in the late 80s (pre Internet) there was a very prominent case where Nintendo sued the crap out of US Gold for making Great Giana Sisters, which was a "Warts and all" carbon copy of Super Mario Brothers.

Valve is usually okay with people doing fan games of their IP, but it's better not to take the risk.

cybereality Always go for the option of doing the bare minimum rip off and you'll be much safer than doing anything fan made.
