An attempt (naive) to make a growing character. Details here.

Well, you can't say it's elegantly solved... but it'll probably do for a prototype.

shape_transform_size.mp4 750 KB

Made this way: when growing up, the body is scaled, only the proportions of the head (and a bit of the neck) are changed, and the young facial features (the shape) are applied. The body doesn't change, except for the prominent parts in women.

A child's adult body is not good, of course, but I don't see any other way yet.

1 Nope, you can't make a shaped mirror in new versions of Godot. Or rather it is very difficult.

Tomcat Not sure if it works — I don't have anywhere to test it.

    VM - its free

Well on the vm it kinda boots up, but only hair is visible.

Not sure if its intended to work like that or what..

      kuligs2 VM - its free

Unfortunately, a virtual machine is not reality. I've seen the mismatch between virtual and real machines before.

But thank you for pointing this out. 🍻

My approach is that those who want to port and adapt to a particular system can do it themselves. That's how the Android and MAC versions are done — I just don't have time for it and it's being handled by someone who knows the issue well (much better than I do).

Not sure if its intended to work like that or what..

Nope, of course, it shouldn't be like that. If someone wants to take care of this issue — I will provide access and all necessary information.

Tomcat forgot to check it on a pc but in VM it still the same, only hair visible

      and Mobile or Compatibility?

      which GPU do you have?

        alex_H and Mobile or Compatibility?

I compiled Forward+ as set in the project.

And miracles can happen with GPU in VM.

            kuligs2 As for the hair

Hair is the next stage. They're not a priority right now. Then it will be a separate big issue. I'd like the hair to sway and grow. Pictures are static — it's important how it will look in motion. But it is necessary to do a large enough research that it would not overload the comp. Ideally, there should be a hair constructor so that users can create their own hairstyles. Would you like to do that? 👷

Tomcat Would you like to do that?

construct hairstyles or the software that will do that? 😃 I cant even finish my own projects, also i lack so many knowledge.. its above my paygrade so to speak..

Perhaps it can be posted here. The question was asked, and since I was going to do a similar thing, I figured I'd look into it. The problem was even more interesting than it looked at first glance and involves several areas. I was going to put it in free access, but since no one is interested, I will not hurry. I will post it anyway, but very later, when I solve the related issues.
