Dang, I was gonna say this sounds like bad RAM but you beat me to it. If it only freezes during heavy stuff, could be the RAM getting too hot. Had that issue on my first build...

I pulled out my panda wireless pa07. It's bent. Been running without crashes. I'll pull it out all night and see if it runs. Then put it back in the morning.

Try adding some voltage to the RAM. That has helped me on my computer when I was getting instability. First, if the RAM is overclocked (even with an XMP profile) remove it or set to default/auto. This will usually run at 2133, but should get a stable setting. Then add a tiny bit of voltage. I forget the exact values, usually just bump it up once or twice (could be around +0.0125 or something really small like that). It can really fix it.

I would try this, but my motherboard is locked on these. There is no overclock options. It's a dell workstation. On these dell workstations that made them to only have one setting.

I think the problem could be, a malfuntional sodimm sensor. the senors have been failing. Maybe one of them gives a high reading sometimes. One reads zero. One of them sometimes reads zero. Maybe it somtimes reads high reading. I've watching hoping to catch it.

Yeah, if you have locked settings in BIOS, this is going to be harder to fix (assuming the RAM is even the problem). Could also be a dying motherboard. Hard to say for sure.

I was going to recommend considering just returning the new memory while you still can(since, I assume you haven't opened the packaging yet) and look for a replacement motherboard instead. But while plausible that it is the MoBo the new memory might end up coming in handy anyways.

Your best bet is to try replacing that motherboard however. The fact that it is a dell OEM system with what is likely a custom layout MoBo with custom ATX power connector from the custom PSU into the custom MoBo tho...

You are likely going to end up looking at getting a whole new system anyways. This is why these big brand name workstations aren't all that great unless you specifically buy into extended warranties and just leave it to them to maintain and fix/problem solve.

that is probably true. They know it will increase income, if the computer have a time bomb. For this mobo, it has moving parts, the temperature sensors.

The reason I got a workstation, is for sculpting. I wanted extra cores for pushing and pulling vertices. Plus I can get more ram.

Getting another mobo is what I decided to do. And your right, I need those ram chips anyways. I just don't feel like changing a mobo. It such a pain.

PCI fan failure. Something the other mobo failed to tell me. Now It seems, my brand new rx 5600 xt has bad fan controller. It failed diagnostics. My computer will not work without a temporary card, and I don't have enough money.

I don't have anything like that near me. But I did get a $20.00 radeon from ebay. I have to wait until next month to get something. Right now walmart is sold out on the video card, so I could only get a return. Mine is broken, and I figure I am selling it back for $320.00 But, I still can't get another one. And, because of prices I'll have to wait long time get another rx 5600 xt. Really long time. I'll have to use an old used rx 580. That depends if I get to have some money next month.

Hey, an RX 580 is pretty solid. I still use my rx 470 8gb and it can run Cyberpunk at 1080p with great performance(low to mid settings tho), crashes stemming from engine stability not withstanding.

Because of prices rising rapidly I ran up my credit for an ex 470. Expected Monday if this will not fix computer the piece would be the keyboard
