  • don't ask for help on your first game. it's clear you don't know nothing.
keep learning and try on your own or use free assets.

if you ask for help, you should be a programmer and know what you are doing, or a PROLIFIC artist and NOT give orders.

because I once worked with an artist as a programmer and he kept asking for new and new features and ignoring what I told him to do.
Like, I told him we had to implement save slots at a certain point, but he was more preoccupied with some small details. I abandoned the project, he didn't get someone as talented to replace me and work on the walls of code I made, then decided to switch to unity, and I didn't hear anything else from him, but the project got nowhere.
if you are an artist you should have a design document of the entire game ready, because programmers need that.

another project I worked making assets, it was an online browser game called nubalo. there were lots of people doing the same, and the guy who invited us was a programmer. but he abandoned the project after 2-3 years for scheduling issues (school) and the project got nowhere. lots of assets were finished by that time, but we had no game.
if you are a programmer, you should be good enough and have enough time to finish the code, or you will waste everyone's time.

  • You just need to be aware that Sega might shut you down, but the chances are very small. As you said you won´t sell it and it won´t contain nasty topics like drugs, sex and the likes, right?. You should be fine, after all you would need to get a masssive success to even get in their radar even if you did.
Just obey their conduct rules for using the characters (research them) and all will be good.
