Massive Update: Playtest #1 is happening THIS WEEKEND!
Hey everyone, popping back into the thread with a huge milestone. After months of wrestling with netcode and solo development, SUPER SCORE is finally ready for its very first closed playtest this weekend (Friday, June 26 โ Sunday, June 28)!
As a quick refresher for the thread, this is the 3v3 FPS where shooting is how you fight, but reaching the enemy base is how you actually win (no deathmatch point hoarding here). I'm really eager to see how the engine handles the networking under actual player strain.
How to Hop In (Windows / Steam)
The test is running through Steam Playtest. Because I need to keep a close eye on server stability for this first run, slots are limited and Steam will handle the access rollouts randomly.
Jump over to the Steam Page: Steam page
Hit that green "Request Access" button.
Keep an eye on your Steam notifications/email!
๐ฎ Help Me Fill Lobbies (No Bots!)
Since this is a strict networking test, bots are disabledโmeaning we need 6 real players to get a match off the ground. To make sure we actually get to play and don't just sit in empty queues, please try to log on during these peak windows:
๐ช๐บ Europe: 7:00 PM โ 10:00 PM CEST
๐บ๐ธ North America: 7:00 PM โ 10:00 PM EST / 4:00 PM โ 7:00 PM PST
Be sure to join the SUPER SCORE Discord Server and use the matchmaking channel to coordinate lobbies with everyone if things get quiet!
Iโd love to get your thoughts on the overall feel, performance, and gameplay loop.
Thanks to everyone in the thread who has been following along so far, let's break some servers this weekend!
