Why would I? no mouse use in the game itself, and the behaviour is in the godot editor NOT the game! Does it on a blank scene with only a Node2D, nothing to do with adding code to a script to solve!

Not heard of either! I have x11 apparently after looking it and what it is up, and as these seem to be operating system window server things, the behaviour is still within Godot itself. Repeatable on Windows too... My Macs too old to run Godot 🙁

tried webm and mp4, vid file is 1.2 mb (under 8mb limit) get this error message, "Uploading files of this type is not allowed." what filetypes can I use? How do I post this ?

If that floating game window is on top I kind of want ALL of it to be on top ALWAYS, resize or move the window keys now affect the editor behind until reselected..... Why ADD this!?

BingBong As it is right now, direct upload of video files is not supported. But you can use a 3rd party service like YouTube, Vimeo or Streamable and just post the link here and it will be embedded.

If I understood you correctly I had the same problem.

In the Game tab in the embedding options I unchecked "Embed Game on Next Play". It annoyed me as hell.

The program I linked to makes surprisingly easy and high-quality .gif files. Of course, video is better, but since it can't be embedded here yet, it's a perfectly acceptable compromise.

Well, if you convert directly from video format to GIF, then of course that will happen. You didn't even try to edit it, which is convenient in that program — to reduce and lighten it? GIF is good for giving an idea of what's in the video file — a reduced image, if there is no preview of the video, as is the case here and now.
