its a cool POW, but its fair to ssimple to be a game, but, it keep me enterteined for a minute or 2.
Need progression and atack paterns. This is a concept, now make it a game.
For that you need what i said, progression. Be it levels or more atack paterns, etc.
Keep going, it can be something. But this is not evena fraction of the work. (and why hp 40 if decrease in 10s, make it 4 aand 1s)

Yes, you are absolutely right about it needing more content or "progression" As you call it, I have a ton of cool ideas for more bosses, This was simply a proof of concept type of demo, And the reason why I gave the player 50 HP instead of 5 is because I might make different types of bullets deal different amounts of damage (10, 20, 50 ?!).
I had fun learning how to beat it. The second mode of the boss took me a minute to figure out.
My first suggestion is that the player movement feels too linear and might feel more fun if there was acceleration build into movement.
My second suggestion is maybe aim toward mouse instead of always aiming up? That depends on final platform though mobile PC ect..

I'd like a invulnerability time dash.
The ability to shoot in other directions would be nice too, but if you make the boss move away from you like in some space shooters then it would be ok to only shoot forward.
Also chaining bosses between fun litle, easy guys would be better than Boss Selection.

It needs more variation and different attack patterns, I figured out the right movement to avoid the bullets within the first couple of seconds and then spent the rest of the level just repeating that movement. Having the bosses move around too would make it less monotone and more difficult, or maybe having another smaller enemy spawn randomly so it's not so predictable. (Probably not in the first few levels though, it makes sense for the start to be easy.)
I don't play bullet hell games so IDK how this is usually handled, but having a button to shoot feels pointless when there's no reason for me to not just hold it down for the entire game. Maybe if you had a stamina bar and had to wait for your "gun" to recharge before shooting again, then you'd be incentivized to actually aim and not waste bullets? Or if you could shoot in other directions + the bosses were moving.
Right now it feels too easy to me because I can sit at the edge of the screen, only focus there and ignore the top 80% of the game
