In general you are correct about party and government policy… the government controls (should) corporations, but who controls the private company Steam?

There are independent (relatively) media outlets that constantly dig into government officials for corruption and other irregularities — that's how it works. There are also public organizations, so yes — the government is more trustworthy than Steam, as it has more control.

But we've already gone from off-topic to politics. Yeah, politics is what surrounds us. Always and everywhere.

    Tomcat but same could be said about anything that is publicly funded. Free stuff aint gon manifest from nothing 😃, someone has to pay for it. Let them corpos pay, but stay out of the politics of it.

        I don't see what the Google comparison has to do with this? They are totalitarian offices that collect privacies and the difference between them is very subtle and not significant.

        Yep, Gabe doesn't change — he's greedy as hell (30% is way beyond good and evil) and collects his adherents' data. He's created his own religion: “For your money, I'll save you maybe let you play!” — like all religions. (We've seamlessly transitioned from politics to religion.)

        I don't understand only one thing, if you are so tolerant and unassuming, you don't care about collecting your privacy, then why are you so negative about Winda? However, if we are talking about religion, reasonable questions are not honored here.

            Hey guys... this is getting pretty far off-topic. Even if the OP seems to be resolved, please stay on topic for this thread if any further discussion is needed.

            I'd suspend the judgement on this until I logged into steamworks with a product to distribute and checked out everything the platform's backend has to offer.
