I've noticed that in Godot 4.X (the version I'm using is 4.2.1 but I've noticed it in previous versions as well) that after working on a project for a while, usually a few hours, all of the audio in game gets all crackly and gets a ton of artifacts. This issue fixes when I simply restart the editor, so it isn't a huge problem, but it still intrigues me. Does anybody else get this issue? Has it been solved in newer versions?

  • Tomcat replied to this.

    Yep:

    • Audio: Fix audio crackling issues on Windows using certain DACs due to incorrect WASAPI buffer size (GH-89283).
