hello again, everyone. I've experienced a little burnout and took a break from the internet for a while, but I'm back now. as a beginner, I received some tips on my last post and would like to get some more. unfortunately, I can't afford to buy a course or paid mentorship at the moment, so I'm looking for some documents or tutorials that I can read. my current focus is on creating 2D games, specifically JRPGs and top-down views. any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you all.
tips/free tutorials for a good start.

Well, there are lots of quality free tutorials, but a game engine is a large beast, even one as friendly as Godot. So it would be easier to point you at tutorials if we knew exactly what aspects you need help in or would like to learn more about. That said, some of my favorite tutorial sources some relevant tutorial sources I have bookmarked are:
https://damagedpixels.com/ - godot stuff
https://www.redblobgames.com/ - platform-independent algorithms and solutions
https://www.youtube.com/@GMTK - game design tutorials
https://www.youtube.com/@Gdquest - their paid thing is pricey, but they have a lot of free tutorials
https://www.youtube.com/@AdamCYounis - pixel art and 2d shaders in godot
https://www.kishimisu.art/ - shaders. only 1 tutorial but it's very good, and you can find his other shadertoys
https://www.youtube.com/@godotneers - few but very accessible godot tutorials
A lot of these sources I found just by searching for a specific topic in Godot on Youtube.
