Hello everyone!
I apologize in advance if this isn't the right place for this discussion. I was trying to find a way to transfer my Unity project to Godot. It's a 2D project, so I searched online to see if there was a way to import it automatically. I found this. I made some simple modifications in a fork fork and managed to place the 2D assets in the correct position, rotation, and scale within the scene, using Unity 2021.3 and Godot 4.1.1. Unfortunately, I'm not experienced in either Unity or Godot, so I don't know how to further improve the tool (to correctly import layer orders or support tilemaps). Nonetheless, I think it could be helpful to avoid the hassle of recreating scenes from scratch and make the transition to Godot easier, so I wanted to bring it to your attention.

P.S.
Sorry for my English.

The short answer is you're going to just have to port the game over to Godot, there is no ez Unity to Godot conversion...
Godot supports C# but it's implementation doesn't have the performance that Unity C# offers..

I would consider just rebuilding the game from scratch in godot and porting over little by little at a time.

The price changes wouldn't effect you if you stayed with Unity, yes the CEO/Board are pure evil and should be ousted from Unity and let's be real.. whatever the board wants their pet I mean the CEO will do anything to please them like the slave I mean good lil worker he is. The new board that came in 2020 have zero experience in this industry and are just in it for the profits.
