i'm playing golden sun for the GBA. i had it years ago but never played it, because my older brother had a save file with naughty words in the name field when he gave it to me. my mother assumed it was a mature game for mature adults, which she thought excluded me.
i'd forgotten about it all these years until about a week ago, almost 20 years later, when i found it cheap at a game store in town.
i cant tell if im having fun or i'm underwhelmed. i think both. progression isn't intuitive, characters take a 5 second break from dialog to emote, but i'm genuinely surprised at the visuals. it's a really good looking game for what it is, but take my word on that lightly. i haven't played a lot of GBA games.
