  • Godot 2D and 3D possible for Isometric?

Hello, I am quite of a beginner in Godot and learning my things. So, far I am having fun learning Godot. But I was wondering whether if it is possible to combine 2D sprites (game static objects) and 3D meshes (game characters) to make an isometric game?
Also I was wondering, for 2D sprites, can I simply make those objects (i.e. a barrel or a scene of a room) in software like Krita and import them in Godot as images to use them as sprites? Does it work?

I just posted this a little bit ago, but it would be a good tutorial to go through. It uses 2d sprites for characters, but you can make them 3d, and it has objects like trees and statues in 2d, along with 3d static objects.
