I like roads but don't have a clear idea on how to approach generating them. There's not that much variation there and they are very elongated 🙂 Any ideas?

To use such a complex system, only for the background in an arcade shooter?! In Russia, there is a proverb "Shooting sparrows with a cannon" - it seems it is appropriate in this situation. This could be used to emulate a living city… like SimCity.

xyz I can’t believe I didn’t see this before! This is so cool man especially how little time it took for you to put it together. I did try to listen to the song while watching the gif, unfortunately it didn’t match to well IMO because the camera is panning too fast naturally I assume because you had so many cool constructs to show off! I didn’t see any twin towers so I don’t feel sad, way to go!

For the plane/spaceship control, there is a nice tutorial on XNA from Riemers which is still online I guess.

Well, for a dogfight game I'll have to make an airplane generator as well (more generators, yay!)... Or just use flying cars from the previous one, perhaps with a pair of wings attached 😃
Doing a city simulator sounds tempting but could be extremely time consuming.

I'll have to think about it... 🤓

Don't forget a cloud generator as well, and maybe birds too, Chinese spy balloons (very important 😛), UFOs, airfields & airports, choppers, superman & superwoman maybe, ...

lol you forgot a time generator. A clone factory may help, if you can find Kamino and purchase some units.

Erich_L You're right. The scroll ought to be slower to match the coolness of the song. But I had to speed it up to make a non-obvious seamless loop, while keeping the gif size relatively small (trying not to cram the forum storage with mega-gifs). You'll notice all my animated gifs are kinda fast - it's precisely for that reason.
I still think the song and the overall look fit together. Didn't actively try to match them though.
