  • Can't open a project created in 4.0 beta 9 in the stable version

As the title says i created a project using the beta 9 and now that there is a stable version i would like to use the latest version, but somehow Godot can't open the project, it's listed in the project manager but whenever i try to open the editor just doesn't launch.

I can create projects and use the editor perfectly with new projects, but with this one project i can't and while i can try to rebuild it from scratch on the stable version, it's a lot of work that i have done with the project in the beta version.

My os is Windows 11 and the project uses the forward_plus renderer.

Try running the Godot editor from the command line and see if there are any errors.

Sadly the console closes before i can see any error at all. I can only guess that my project is using something that was removed later and thus making it incompatible with the stable version. I think i will have to try to port it by hand, thank you anyway

Ukarus Sadly the console closes before i can see any error at all

You'd be advise to run cmd/powershell on its on then run godot where you have put it.
I also recommend usage of ConEmu for all windows users as it's a super powerful shell window with tons of features and so much improvements to the ridiculously obsolete MS rotten tool.
