So I've been spending the past few months cooking up an 'OS' in Godot. So far It's coming along very well! I wanted to share a screenshot and a video of what it looks like so far! The name is not final, but here it is!

A few different features it currently has is external app support, a working window system (closing, minimizing, maximizing), multiple app instances open at once, and an app downloader (as seen above). Doesn't seem like much to me but it's been a lot of hard work! Thanks to the help from the people at discord btw! They've been a big help in this project's programming!

I tried something like this maybe a year or two ago. It was fun, and a really, really good way to learn Godot's control nodes. I'm accidentally doing it again as I'm building a character builder thing.
Looks cool man, even if I prefer clunkier looks.

packrat thanks man! it really does let me learn how godot works. this project i'd say is the one I've sunk a lot of time into most currently. and I have 3 public projects but this one isn't.. yet at least..

That's pretty cool - might I suggest you could use that to make special FX sequences, like in sci-fi movies or crime shows
