  • Dice Roller 2000 - dice roller software for role-playing games

Hi!

I created this random number generator for myself when I was hosting D&D game sessions as a dungeon master. I found this app very usefully a specially in huge battles.
I also played Shadowrun -tabletop with my friends and in Shadowrun you have to roll lots of D6 dices and mark only 1 , 2 or 5, 6 -faces. So I add that kind of functionality to this app too.

Give it a try and use it in your tabletop game sessions. Or just generate lottery numbers, use it as you like, it's free! 🙂

You can download the released versions from here:

    TheAspen neat, but a suggestion.

I am actually using a "die-roll" type feature for my game and it ups the suspense when you watch the numbers roll. You can do this by making a simple array filled with the possible results, drain them once per frame and once you're down to one in the array size, you have your result. Food for thought.

SnapCracklins I agree that rolling animation would look cool, but if you roll let's say 100 dices it will take some time to see all those 100 results because of that animation and that might get annoying. Maybe a bit rare situation, but still plausible. 🙂

But as an optional setting, that would do. So if you don't want to see animations of the rolling numbers you could set it off. I might consider this.

      Hello everyone,

Just want to tell you that I released the new version of this dice roller simulator. Added a new theme, rolling animations and quick menu for common dice.
It can be downloaded from Github or from Microsoft store.

For the record, .exe version from Github seems to work a bit better than UWP release in Microsoft store. UWP has somewhat risk to crash sometimes.

Hey! I know this reply is a bit late, but for anyone else looking for a dice roller, I came across this awesome website called flipsimu.com which has an online dice roller. It could be really handy for tabletop game sessions, like D&D or Shadowrun. You can download the released versions of Dice Roller 2000 mentioned here or give the flipsimu webpage a try. It's free, and you can use it for generating lottery numbers or whatever you need. Just thought I'd share in case it helps someone out. Btw, I'm new here, so it's great to join this forum! Happy gaming!
