I have been thinking on how I want to do the cutscenes.
I want to make it feel comic-y.
The first image looks nice, but maybe a bit to excessive.
Having it like these panels, like in the second image, may be what I'll go for.
It would also make it feel more in line with the level load screens.

Now my game is switch ready!
I am very tempted to play the game like this. 👾

Anyway I am now working on making the game controller compatible.
Actually the game already pretty much was, only the menus and settings weren't.
UI is boring to work on, but at least it's not to difficult. 🎮️

It's mostly finished.
The game as it is now, I don't thing will be too different from the final product.

Stuff I still need to do:

Some more music and sound effects
Update some level visuals
Update a few animations
Give the game a title

Aside from that it's just play testing. Making sure it's playable and ironing out bugs.
As a solo dev everything is just super slow to do.
I wonder what people will think of the game, but it also makes me scared.

Endless hallway.
If you don' t have enough collectables, you'll be running here forever!
Or just turn back and find more.

At the end of this hallway is the final level.
I may have to make the textures a bit gloomier to signify the end.

When you reach a certain z position, the game teleports you back.
The hallway repeats itself, so a loop is seamless.
I added a black box around the player, so they would never see how long the hallway is.

Haven't worked on this project for awhile. Been busy with some personal stuff.

It's not amazing, but it is alright for first serious project.
I hope to have it launched within a few months, so I can finally move on to a new project.

I will make my next project way less ambitious though.

SuperDoomKing Yes! I have finally learned that lesson too. It's quite nice to work on something you can have someone else test after a shorter amount of time working too. I'm sure you've learned so much from this project that you'll surprise yourself how fast you can prototype a smaller game idea!
