This Forum is slow to load; is that normal..? * Solved *

My set-up : very good fibre Internet, Windows 11 Pro, Brave or Chrome browser. I visit several Forums and other sites, with no issues. This Forum, however, take between 12 and 15 seconds to load, every time I launch it (even when it's already open in another tab...). Am I alone in this, or is there a general acceptance of this by all Members here..? It's not a deal-breaker, but it's very different to all other sites. Once the initial load is achieved, browsing is not particularly slow; it's just the initial load. Any remedy or explanation..?

Dad3353 Great feedback! I know the forum has been quite slow and it's on my to-do list to investigate and fix.

I know there's 1 particular extension that slowed the load speed down a lot, showing of thumbnails in theProjects tag. For some reason that extension also affected the rest of tags when it comes to loading. 12-15 seconds sounds extreme though. I'm on fiber (using both chrome and firefox based browsers), and the most extreme for me would be 3-5 seconds (which is already waaay too slow).

I did switch if off and it seems the forum runs much faster now. Try to brows around and see if works better for you.

Soon I will have the time to dive deeper and fix some of the issues while not compromising on features.

Is it preferred to have the forum load faster, or having the thumbnails on theProjects tag? Let me know.

Presently, the Forum loads just like all the others, as it should. Way different, so you're on the right track. I didn't know that there were thumbnails, so I won't be missing them; I much prefer the current load time (a second or so...). Thanks for looking at this; I hope that this speed is maintained.
