My game has been being developed in Godot 4.3 since its inception. In order to implement a new feature, my programmer had to update the project to Godot 4.4. Unfortunately, the shading of everything looks wrong. Many objects used the "toon" shader, which now appears almost identical to "burley". Objects seemingly lack their specular highlights that they previously had. I can't find any way to bring the specular highlights back no matter what material settings I choose. Objects reflect the sky environment, but not the sun light.
What is going on here? Can I revert to the previous behavior? Or at the very least, can I get specular highlights back?

4.4:

Note the lack of specular highlights on the control stand in 4.4, and the less uniform lighting and darker shadows compared to 4.3.
(for the record, 4.6 has the same problem)
