An idea came to mind, i havent seen anyone doing this thing, ive seen developers adding in commentary bits, WIP artworks etc etc, packing into the game product or/and with the product, but what if you document, like film every step from nothing to a complete game and pack it with the game?
For GTA6 type development this would not be possible but for your run of the mill unity asset flip type game it could be doable where you spend like less than a month of your time for a game.
Screenrecord doing the coding and assets. This would be interesting, not that anyone would sit for a month watching someone create the thing you bought...
Another would be this - buy now for a fee or sit there and watch for a month and then you can get the game for free or something 😃 - force the user to agonize if you want freebie.
I would be more interested in the asset creation as this is what you see when you play the game, code is kinda secondary as you can always hook up same logic different ways. Sure if there is something unique like new sort of technology that you developed (mechanic) that would be interesting with dev commentary, but other than that, it would be boring to watch..
Ive seen some people livestream development of a "game" but then never hear again from them of the released product.. also when you livestream you get distracted with chat, and if you ignore, then nobody watches the stream and its pointless to do the stream..
What do you guys have in mind, or not, to pack in with your product? Or are you just eager get it out as fast as possible just to cash in?
