I am Alexey (aka N3TRUNN3R), the creator and team lead for "Project Neverland." I am seeking a core team of passionate and skilled developers to join me in building an extraordinary world from the ground up. This is a call for founding members who want to leave their mark on an ambitious project and share in its success.
The Vision: What is "Project Neverland"?
"Project Neverland" is an immersive Action RPG set in a unique fantasy universe. Imagine the tactical, skill-based combat of Monster Hunter and Dark Souls, fused with the deep world-building of classic fantasy epics, all wrapped in a enchanting, retro-anime aesthetic.
Our core pillars are:
A World of Fantasy: We are building a rich fantasy world centered around "The Ark," a colossal structure housing 8 distinct planetary biomes, each with its own ecosystem, challenges, and history.
Biologically-Grounded Magic: Magic is not an arcane art, but a manifestation of internal biological energy. Players control elemental forces that are an intrinsic part of their being and the world's ecosystem.
Deep ARPG Combat: A dynamic, non-target combat system where your playstyle is defined by the synergy between your chosen Weapon (15+ types, from Katanas to Scythes), your Element (internal energy source), and your Combat School (fighting philosophy). This allows for immense customization and synergy.
A Rich World: The lore explores themes of faith, hope, and cosmic struggle, set against the backdrop of civilizations that have survived 7000 years of isolation inside the Ark.
Where We Are Now & Our Plan
I have been in game development since 2022, leading two previous projects: Project Forestation (a Sonic fangame) and Solaris Arena (a commercial project that closed due to funding constraints). These experiences have honed my skills in team leadership, design, and the realities of project management. I am based in Moscow Time (MSK / UTC+3).
For "Project Neverland," I am the sole developer, acting as Game Designer, Writer, and Lead. We have a comprehensive Game Design Document (GDD), 2D concept art, and visual prototypes for playable races (Axolarians, Elves, Orcs).
Our immediate goal is Version 0.1: A vertical slice demonstrating core mechanics.
This includes: basic movement, the combat system, a first encounter with enemies, a simple quest, and a showcase of our target visual style.
Our Strategy for Growth:
After establishing a compelling alpha prototype, our plan is to pursue crowdfunding or a publisher to secure the resources needed for full-scale production. The initial core team that builds this prototype with me will be the foundation of our studio and will be compensated accordingly.
Who We Are Looking For: The Founding Team
I am looking for 5-7 dedicated individuals who can commit 10-15 hours per week. We will work collaboratively using Discord, Miro, and a private Git repository. I value clear communication, teamwork, shared learning, and accountability above all else.
The key roles we need to fill for this initial push are:
Godot Programmers (2-3 Positions)
Responsibilities: Building the core architecture: combat system (hit detection, character states), skill system (Elements & Schools), player controls, and AI. Willingness to explore GDExtension with C++ for performance-critical calculations is a huge plus.
You Are: Proficient in GDScript and/or C#, with a solid understanding of software architecture. You enjoy tackling complex gameplay systems and writing clean, maintainable code.
3D Artists (2 Positions)
Responsibilities: Creating characters, weapons, and environmental assets in our unique "retro-anime" fantasy style.
You Are: Skilled in Blender/Maya, with a strong grasp of modeling, UV unwrapping, and texturing. Experience with rigging is a bonus.
Animator (1 Position)
Responsibilities: Cleaning up and polishing my raw mocap/blocking animations for combat, movement, and creatures, injecting fluidity and personality.
You Are: An animator who can bring life to 3D models, with a good feel for weight and timing.
Technical Artist (1 Position)
Responsibilities: Developing high-quality, optimized shaders for VFX and materials to achieve our target visual style. Managing the asset pipeline from artist to engine.
You Are: A shader wizard in Godot, bridging the gap between art and code, with a passion for visual storytelling.
What We Offer: The Deal
This is a Revenue-Share (Rev-Share) project. The founding team members who contribute to the alpha/beta build will receive a pre-negotiated percentage of the game's quarterly revenue from digital storefronts post-release. This is a long-term partnership to build and share in the success of "Project Neverland" together. I am dedicated to creating a structured, motivated, and creative environment where your work and ideas are valued.
