Sprite flip_h problems :c

Hello everyone! Please help with this problem. The task is very simple, to make the sprite rotate mirrorily depending on the direction of the object. But the following error is given: Invalid assignment of property or key 'flip_h' with value of type 'bool' on a base object of type 'null instance

Slava That's not what I meant bur even that points to the problem; namely you're likely running the same script attached to some other node, possibly an autoload. Note how your node is called Enemy_1 but the error reports Enemy1 (no underscore)

So what does the thing I suggested print out? And how does your remote scene tree looks like at runtime?

xyz Thanks) Actually, there was a problem with auto-loading. I don't quite understand why this led to an error. But after deleting the script from startup, it works.

You ware running two instances of the same script, one of them, that was on the autoloaded node, you were not aware of. And that one was causing the error because it didn't find the node hierarchy underneath itself that the script is assuming it's there.

Happens to people quite often actually.

If you printed the stuff as I suggested, you would have gotten two different printouts, indicating you're running the script on two different nodes.

xyz I thought that if the enemy script was in startup, then I would be able to access it from any node x) But it's a bad idea.
