Can you add your own node to the "Create New Node" menu?

I'm pretty sure I read about a way to do this in the past, but I now I'm looking for it and I can't find it. I have a saved scene I use constantly, and it would save me a lot of time to be able to add it with Ctrl+A instead of having to navigate to the folder its in every time.

...aaand as I was writing this I remembered that you can "Favorite" files and they'll show up on top of FileSystem. Still, I need to scroll up (I have many many folders) to do that and Ctrl+A would be faster 😃

housatic Sure, couple of ways (I use a "SelectionDialog" as an example from my own project):

In the search field just type in a couple of letters from the name. sldg in this case would find "SelectionDialog". Or copy & paste the whole name.
On the bottom left is a list of recently used nodes.
Add your node to favorites with the Star button so that it shows up in the top left list.

But this reminded me where I read it, it was the docs for creating plugins 😃

No, the "SelectionDialog" above is my own scene.

Toxe How did you get it to show up in the menu? I only see Godot nodes, unless I turn the scene into a plugin first

Okay, I just checked, looks like you need to attach a script to your scene to give it a class name.

Without being a named class you need to either keep dragging your scene into the scene graph (what you are already doing right now) or use the "Instantiate Child Scene" dialog (Ctrl+Shift+A), which does the same thing. You can search for your scene there and I think they get sorted by recent use.
