This is often noticeable. When you teleport to a new location in games, the weather there is initially normal (usually standard sunny). And only after a while (a short time, usually depending on the performance of the computer) does the weather begin to change to match the location and time. So, yeah — weather effects are only around the player.

The video is recent, but it uses Godot 4.3.

He is also Russian. He couldn't even do the dubbing in his native language.

Why would you need a dub? I dont even consume content in my own language, it feels wierd... In software development and software in general English is preferable because it describes everything as it should and you dont lose meaning of the thing.. Translations often invent new terms and meanings that sometimes makes no sense and you get lost intranslations..

For legal purposes sure, use whatever state demands you to use, but on a personal level, english is the lang of the tech. Like it or not its how it is.

xyz There is another, perhaps not so obvious, problem here. It is clear that this area is currently under development. And any solution in the near future may no longer work.

Tomcat it applies to anything.. they might deprecate Node3D at some point, and call it NodeMultiD or something.. who knows... cant trust nobody.

As for myself, im just studying, testing my abilities.. once im confident enough to start a serious project, you pick a version and never change it.. otherwise you will bust your balls fixing dependency problems amongst other things.

Yeah, I've said it hundred times before and I'll likely say it hundred more times: Do not change the engine version mid-project unless absolutely necessary. The concept of up-to-date doesn't really apply well to game engines. Decide on the version beforehand by researching if it has all the features you may need, and stick to it until the project is finished.

At least @kuligs2 got it 🙂

xyz Yeah, I've had that problem before. I made a game, and went back to it in a later version, and it was all messed up. I agree with @kuligs2 and @xyz.
