Why? I think it's pretty great and sound like a smart move.

I am more surprised that everything looks fairly Godot'ish. Makes me wonder how the scripting will work.

I don't think there is much to be backported that would benefit the engine.

EA is a very greedy company, and I don't share the optimism that such attention will be beneficial.

Well, of course, EA is being EA. War, a quarter of the first hundred years of the 21st century has already passed… where are the drones, damn it?!

The screenshots look cool, but I'd love to see a video or some gameplay to really get a feel for how it's running. What features are already working in the build?
