Indieop I know every platform has its pros and cons but I am curious to know where most devs share their games on? I feel that reddit tends to be an echo chamber of devs broadcasting to other devs and I do not have much experience with twitter. I feel that most devs blow up on either reels or tik tok
MikeCL I would probably add YouTube as a major place. And for me personally, I'm mostly active on Mastodon when it comes to social media (and I've started to use BlueSky a bit as well).
Indieop MikeCL I did not consider YouTube or Mastodon. I always thought of YT being more of a platform to host trailers and gameplay which can be embedded elsewhere rather than a growth channel. I never used Mastodon before but I will look into it.
Tomcat MikeCL I'm mostly active on Mastodon when it comes to social media I agree that it's surprising that there is no mention of mastodon.gamedev.place. Also surprisingly absent from the Telegram list. I live in a country that is on the cutting edge of social development and everything listed in the list is already blocked, while backward countries only think about it.
Indieop kuligs2 Good point. Although I suppose this would be more of advertising to other devs rather than just gamers 🙂
kuligs2 Tomcat i dont use any of the services mentioned by you both 😃. I get my news from youtube from people i watch other than that, from a limited circles of people in FOSS communities sprinkled around FOSS services..
