I had some spare time and set up a game for my eight year old son who loves railroads, trains and everything related to it. As it has turned out, I like the game as much as he does, so maybe you appreciate it as well. (The English translation is just for you. ;-) )

The rules are simple: Click on the switches to guide the trains to the right destinations (indicated by color). It starts slowly but gets faster and harder over time. Hurry up to set up the correct path!

To even let my little daughter take part, I've added settings to adapt the difficulty. If you play in a "placid mode", you collect points slower, though.

There you go: Weichensteller / Switchman

I appreciate your feedback!

The project is available at https://github.com/JanKoelzer/weichensteller. Note that I am rather new to Godot/GDScript.

Very cool. Makes fun. I had to reduce to 3 stations because it's so difficult. :-)

Would like to have visually more clear switches. Easier on the eyes (but can't tell how they should look)
And I would feel better in the end if there was a way to "win" the game also.

I much appreciate that the turned switches are highlighted. 🙂 Turns out I'm not suited to work for the Deutsche Bahn as Weichensteller. 😅

I have pushed the source to https://github.com/JanKoelzer/weichensteller/
Note that I am not an experience Godot user, so please forgive me for any messy sections of the code.

musikai Thanks for your feedback! Maybe I can make the parts of the switches that won't be used lighter/more transparent. I am going to add this suggestion to my todo list.
