Welcome to GodotOS, an operating system interface created entirely in Godot! Browse folders, edit text files, view images, play games, and more in one cohesive polished interface that can even be used on the web!

GodotOS is more of a toy than a serious project. It’s meant to push the limits on UI design in Godot while creating a desktop that is minimalist, distraction-free, and aesthetically pleasing. After ₂.5 months of work, it's finally out!

popcar2 do you do the resizing with code when the screen resolution changes or is there a setting for this in the godot control node? when I change the screen resolution in my game, the interface gets distorted.

unicornlox The resolution of the game automatically gets set depending on the subviewport's size (the size of the game's window). That said, game windows always stay at 16:9 so it shouldn't be messing anything up. Make sure your interface is under a CanvasLayer so it stays in the same position regardless of resolution.

What kind of distortions are you getting?

popcar2 When I make the settings fullscreen, the tabs appear, but when I make it windowed, it does not appear, and the same is the case with the buttons.

I added nodes nested as a scene, I wonder if that's why?

unicornlox Try having a CanvasLayer as a parent of ControlMainScreen.

I tried it in browser. I played super bit boy for 30mins in a 6x4cm window. It's so hard. 😂 Nicely done!
Will try it on windows sometime. 🙂

@popcar2 I adjusted the tab size by changing the offset value of the vsplit node, I think I need to scale by changing the stretch ratio value.
