I am looking to assemble a small team to work on a project with commercial potential

Game

  • PvP online action multiplayer in 3d (not a battle arena/closer to chess than league of legends)
  • no account needed to play, no ads
  • Requires strategy/puzzle solving/lateral thinking to defeat your enemy
  • Mobile oriented, but would like to target nintendo switch, and would be tons of fun in VR
  • Designed with longevity in mind, can release skins/seasons/etc
  • written in C#

Work / Payment

You can choose to do work that is paid based on feature implemented, or join in revenue share after publish. Work on the project would require an NDA to discuss design in full. I am looking for people who will be interested and passionate about the idea itself.

State of the project

I am currently working solo on this project, and intend to submit a prototype to an investor fund. As it stands there is:

  • a backend api that handles lobbies and starts game server instances
  • a very rough Godot server + client prototype, with a simple menu, no art, no models, developing game mechanics with cubes
  • design documents and a business outline
  • publishing and marketing goals

The plan is to fully open source the game after it is published.

Feel free to send me a message or ask questions!
To make communication smoother:

  • Please show or link to your previous work
  • Briefly describe what part of development you are best at / would prefer to work with

Technical Indie Programmer / Lite Artist

The past 7 years of my life have been spent programming, with primarily dedication towards Python 3 and Godot 3/4. But I have also spent time learning in Julia, Java, C#, Swift, HTML, ect. And here are two projects of mine that I've created :

With the combination of ADHD and that act of me spending 7 constant years in the area of programing I can insure that my dedication and capabilities will not leave you disappointed. Also in the past 4 - 6 years, I have used aseprite to create pixel art for my projects.

Dear index-interactive,

This job offering has caught my attention and I would like to express my interest in knowing more about the project and the conditions to work with you.

Over the past few years I've acquired a lot of experience in the field of software and videogame development as I've studied a degree in computer programming and later a specialization in videogames. I have more than 5 months of experience in a professional game development environment, and a total of two years and seven months of experience developing software. My career has led me to earn an award for the prototype with best gameplay of Z-JAM.

I like to expand my knowledge in Godot developing personal projects and participating in game jams. These are some of my most important creative works:

  • ROBO-CRACK: This was my submission for the 5th, it was developed originally in 48h. The game is a classic 2D platformer where you have to manage your energy to jump higher or eliminate the enemies. The game obtained the award for game with best gameplay of the game jam.

  • Scale Tale: My latest videogame and my submission for Game Off 2023. Scale Tale is a classic 3D platformer where you have to resize the environment around you to make your own platforms. The game is still in voting phase, but it is holding its ground as one of the three most popular entries of the game jam.

  • Glass Jungle: My submission for Game Off 2022. Glass Jungle is a first person shooter where you play as McCliché, the main character of an 80’s action movie filled with the most popular clichés of both videogames and movies. This submission obtained the 66th position out of a total 557 entries.

  • The Cave of Alchemy: This game was my submission for Metroidvania Month XV. The game is a classic metroidvania where you have to learn the four elements to advance and defeat an ancient evil. This submission obtained the 5th position out of a total of 70 entries.

  • Nightmare Run: Nightmare Run is an infinite runner where you have to run from death in a spooky graveyard. This game was presented in Z-GAMER, an event dedicated to videogames in Zaragoza, obtaining the attention of more than 300 people in the span of 2 days. This game is still in active development.

You can also check my personal portfolio in itch.io, where I've published more prototypes and games, including those developed during my videogame specialization studies.

If you want to know more about my professional career or ask me anything, don’t hesitate to send me an email e-mail to polanski.real@gmail.com or a direct message to my Discord account polanskipol. If my profile is of your interest I will be glad to also send you my resume.

Kind regards,
Polanski
