I am aware of the demo scenes for it, and the videos that show how great it looks... but it is difficult to picture it for a full-on game as I have yet to ever see that - and it's not necessarily because I want to see how great it looks. I am specifically curious about the FPS rates, loading time, how effective the controls are (as slow fps can make the controls very unreliable), and the dreaded amount of times that it potentially crashes. Maybe it runs great, no problem... but, if I'm going to use it, these are some aspects which I will have to consider.

Anyone know of any high quality 3D games made in Godot?

it makes me laugh Godot's prize 3D hog is Cruelty Squad:

it's more effective as an engine for human creativity over raw computing power. You can imagine why 3D doesn't get a lot of love in this environment.
like that game i posted a screenshot of up there. impressively ugly in a creatively artsy way, yet fun.

is a golf game called pet putt

award A lot of games that are 3D here are actually 2.5D. I get the feeling no one has really explored high-end graphics in 3D with Godot yet?

I'm talking content that looks more realistic, like this game.

Nerdzmasterz Are you asking if it's possible to create such games with Godot, or if anyone has done it? I think Godot attracts Indie Developers, where as AAA studio's are much more likely to use Unreal. It's not very likely that an indie studio will have the resources required to make a high visual fidelity game, we tend to focus more in the low poly / pixel art territory of aesthetics. Also, on Godot 3 I couldn't figure out how to get multi-core CPU support working, so our game is limited to using a single core. This can have a massive impact on performance, so we had to be very careful about CPU optimization.

    Gotcha.

BTW, this game was made with Unity based on my search. I had to be careful when looking for games with realistic graphics.

My thing is, I'm into horror, and prefer more realistic graphics for such things. I know Unreal can do it, my PC just can't do Unreal atm.

the biggest reason (or at least I assume so) for why unreal and unity are able to produce realistic games with smaller teams mostly comes down to how the asset stores are packed with ready-made assets that fit that kind of aesthetic. hell, pubg and phasmophobia are both technically asset flips.

godot is mostly one-man-armies and it doesn't have a real "asset store", in fact I remember a post recently where someone had pre-made assets he wanted to share and couldn't figure out where to put them because the godot asset library isn't quite built for that.

side note: I found this while searching, "godot realistic tech demo" yielded better results than "godot realistic game"

Okay, that's not AAA quality, but that's pretty darn good! It kind of reminds me of the graphics in Rust.
