We built a custom Automotive AR system powered by Godot for Wayray (https://wayray.com). The engine is based on a heavily customized Godot 3.x. Demo video:
We built the software for Foxus (https://www.foxus.com), a Meta Quest 2 AR addon module, based on Godot. After our careful optimization and customization of the Engine, it reached around 60 fps performance (the maximum that the camera supports). Comparison video with the Quest Pro:
When possible, we are upstreaming the features that we implement in the engine to the open-source Godot project:
- We contributed the support for standalone VR headsets to Godot 4.0.
- Our latest feature, support for OpenXR Extensions with GDExtensions just got merged into master, it will be released with Godot 4.2: https://github.com/godotengine/godot/pull/68259
We are currently building a robotics simulator with Godot 4 as an internal project.
In Godot projects, we usually use C++ and GDScript but we are also experienced in other languages: Python, C#, Lua, JavaScript / TypeScript, Java / Kotlin, Swift / Objective-C, ... etc.
