LoipesMas Xrayez The way I see it is that the new "Welcoming" thread is more of a homepage to help new users navigate to important resources (rules, etc.). And it's suggested for those new users to reply in the introductory thread, which is linked.
retroshark LoipesMas That is correct! The intention of the thread is to help new users get started. It's a very similar approach to a lot of communities on Discord who will have a locked channel with resources for new members.
