  • Tutorial for making Street Fighter style fighting game?

Above, there's probably a few bits on YouTube but I thought I'd ask you guys?

I haven't seen one, but you might be able to follow a tutorial for another engine such as Unity.

Be warned. There's a reason why so many street-fighter clones came out in the mid to late 90s, and why so many of them were terrible to one degree or another.

Many young developers think that something as basic as a 1-on-1 fighting game might be easy or simple. It's just two characters wailing on each other, after all. But in actuality, fighting games are one of the most technically demanding genres around, and one of the most difficult to get right.

It's entirely possible to do a game like this in Godot. It has everything you might need. But actually implementing it properly would take an enormous amount of polish and testing.

By the way, fighting games follow similar principles to most standard melee hitbox mechanics, it's just done in a more complex way as @richard-kain has pointed out. There's nothing that says you can't try out doing some kind of melee game that's simple though and work your way up.
