After making the bosque mountain horse, I wanted to make a paint horse.

I was able to find out why my models would often look blurry like.
First, I am using quad remesher for the sculpting. Nothing wrong with using the remesher, just need to put a triangulate modifier on it.

Then the sculpting itself needs sculpted more sharpness.

After this the bake cage and also the lowpoly target needs triangulate modifier on it. This makes the texture maps look better when baking. Such as the normal map.

And as always, use 32bit for the normal map. Because it will not look right without it.

I tried fixing the things I could see wrong with it.

great progress

I looked at the hair cards in godot 3.5 I then decided that the hair cards I am using are flawed. So I put some more work on them and tested in godot 3.5. Here is renderings from godot and also blender.

Does the paint horse look better with this albedo texture, or the one that has hair painted on it?

newmodels Depends what you are going for. I'd say the hair painted in has a more NPR(stylized, non-photo-real, painterly) feel to it.
