It needs eyes and some other work done.
Here I did some more work on it.
It sadly came out with 67k tri
With eye balls now. I know the eye socket and lid area could be better than this.
At this stage I call it complete, except there are no animations.
Without animations, would any of you pay at least $15.00 for putting it in your game projects?
68k tris.
It now has 47k tris. This was because of the horns and teeth.
It looks good. $15 is not a bad price, but I'm not sure it will sell as a stand alone model. Not so much in the price, but that it would not be that useful without animation. But if it were at least rigged, that would be okay. Most of the models I buy are rigged, without animation. You can also include a few animations, maybe even just one idle animation, this would be more helpful. Cause then people could use it for background art.
It now has 33k tris. I did rig it, just no animations. It has generic rig. This is what it looks like after working on it reducing tris.
I might be able to get more reduction in the horns teeth and claws.
It now has less than 30k tris.
30K is still kind of high. It would be okay for a player model, but maybe kind of large if it were a background set piece. You might want to consider making a low poly version (but include both when you sell it). If you bake the normal map, I think you could probably get down to the 10K - 15K range. Still too high for mobile, but that would be fine for a PC game.
I was able to get it down into 23k.
For my future models, I should be able to do better job next time. The body contains about 10k tris. But so do the teeth, horns and claws. Then there is the tongues and eyes.
I learned about occlusion maps and cavity maps.
After more work with the AO maps and circular maps.
The model is free on opengameart.org

I changed the textures trying to create a better cavity map.
