I had read that most LOD is done automatically by the game engine. Does godot do this? does it have to be done manually for Godot? I am asking because I am trying to figure out if it's something I should do for my models, if I was to provide them for indie developers.

I am happy to hear it. Something I shouldn't need to worry about then, unless someone requested them.
