Someone posted this link on the Godot Reddit, and I thought it looks promising.

It teaches computer programming fundamentals using GDScript. It's targeted toward people with no programming experience.

GDScript Fundamental Tutorial Series

I've seen a couple. They are really nice little chunks of information that come up in searches pretty regularly.

I haven't seen that one, but I've seen other videos on the same channel and they are good for beginners.

But, unfortunately, this is a videos, not an articles. :(

    Why is that a problem?

0). Anyone who doesn't speak English very well falls out at once. But that's probably the least of the problems.

1). I am among those who are much better at understanding written text. There may not be many of us, but we are there.

2). If a point is not very clear, it's much easier to go back to it in the written text, than to look in the slow YouTube. As an option, you can download a video, but… this simple action is obstructed for some reason.

I tend to prefer written articles too. But when learning concepts, sometimes listening to an explanation from a good instructor is better.

I do both, but I definitely like reading books better, written by professionals, rather than amateur videos.

It's mostly just exposure. The more viewpoints you get, the more it starts to sink in. The manual is excellent as far as I'm concerned and should be one of your first stops and many times it's all that's needed. For just getting started though, I prefer watching a video tutorial and seeing how things are done.

I also notice that programmers are more likely to write books and artists are more likely to do videos. So you have to do both, because the documentation says almost nothing about art.

Another thing I like to do is watch the entire tutorial, then see how far I can get without looking at it again. Sometimes I do it a different way which is interesting. Then go back and watch it again, or if I get stuck, go back and watch that part.

Yes, I read books and watch tutorials, but I don't work while I do it. I think of it like downloading information in The Matrix. So I download the skills to my brain, and I will read like 4 or 5 books in a row before I try to start working on anything. I'm doing a Blender tutorial now on Udemy that is like 30 hours long, I'm still at the beginning.

Reading the translation and watching the video at the same time is, to put it mildly, not very comfortable. And then what is the point of having a video if you can read it?

      And the Google translation… that's really lame…
