The clear notification tick has turned invisible in the forum light theme (it's white on white). Still works, just not visible.
Talk about anything
I can build games in VR with Unity, only because I bought an asset which its creator constantly updates. I never did learn to code it.
I think the asset was called Autohands? And it works very well.
However, I am so over not actually programming the game, myself. My deal is that I don't even know how to make the VR fingers move in Unity- my hands might as well be cubes, or programmed by someone who actually does know what they're doing.

Yeah, I noticed it too.
Megalomaniak I’ll try to tackle this as soon as I can after work
Now, if anyone knows VR in Godot, it's @TwistedTwigleg.
Am I the only one who is slightly disturbed by the fact that there is actually an emoji swear? I dunno, but I would imagine we'd basically get banned if we actually used that.
Nerdzmasterz The swear emoji would depend on the context of how it is used. It shouldn’t be used since we are a family friendly forum, but it wouldn’t be an instant ban or anything - we do bans on a case by case basis.
cybereality It's not anywhere else online as far as I know. It was a photo of my cat that my brother took with a shaky camera and cropped.

Will banned users still have their icons changed, or will it be shown some other way?

spacecloud That's related to another fun thing when Oculus changed their forum software, ban status didn't port over. Everyone we'd ever perma-banned was unbanned, and got email notifications of stuff.
Luckily 99.9% of bans were due to being spammers, they don't come back on the same accounts anyway.
So if there's any regular troublemakers on here, might be worth checking their status.

Funny you should say that...

Not sure, but I do not think so. It think it adds a little icon that says they are suspended though.

Yeah, we sort of had the same issue. Banned user statuses were not ported, their accounts were just not added at all, but this presents its own issues since theoretically there was nothing stopping them from making new accounts. Like with Oculus, the majority are just spam bots.
I looked through the old forum data manually and applied as many bans as I could that way. It is not perfect, but I was able to apply bans to roughly 80% of previously banned accounts.
Edit: Though to be fair, with bans previously there was theoretically nothing stopping them from making new accounts either.
Banning/Moderation enforcing is difficult because it's easy to change IPs (via VPNs) or use different emails. We do have better moderation tools now though, including some more automation to help reduce some of the manual work.

The issue with the check mark icon on the light theme being invisible due to it being white on white is fixed! I also fixed the notification icon being harder to see and disappearing when clicked.
So far I've been doing these changes via CSS overrides, but sometime I need to look at making an actual forum theme for what we need, as then we can further customize it and it should be possible to specify CSS separate for each mode (dark/light) instead of trying to find colors that work on both.
Edit: Now it should be a bit more compact too - making it easier to read and more like the old forums.
I had to revert the post size change, as it doesn’t work correctly on mobile. I’ll take another look at it soon though, as I think the more compact view is better.
Kojack I just fixed this for myself with a little custom CSS using the Stylus browser plugin:
@-moz-document domain("godotforums.org") {
.Post-actions
{
opacity: 1.0 !important;
}
}
Now the likes (and reply button and menu button) are always visible without mousing over.
Once I have a chance I will add this to the CSS ️
Firefox just started total cookie protection by default. Pretty cool. I guess I won't be shutting down my browser as often.

I got a government paper that inquired about my military service and suggested I come with a military service card (I'm sorry, I don't know the exact English term)… is this politics or what?
