How do everyone save a full project ???

I work hours on my game, I press the X button, it asks me if I want to save, I save, and the next time when I open the project from the menu, all my work is gone, no code, no nodes, anything. And if I press ctrl+s it is the same thing, I don t know if I hit a bug or I am just stupid, I am on the latest version. I know how to set the main scene and the thing is that when I set one scene as a main scene it remains when I re enter, but the other scens and the code still dissaperes. HELP!!!

I've just been using Ctrl+S and it works fine for me. What version of Godot are you using, and which OS are you on?

Maybe Godot does not have access to save files to the directory where your project is located. Have you checked the file permissions in the directory where your project is located? Also, have you tried running Godot in administrator (or equivalent) mode? Using administrator mode might fix the issue if the issue is related to file access.

I am a 100% certain that @Calin doesn't have a main scene set, but also worth noting that hitting ctrl+s saves the file/tab that is actively visible not the all the project wide files at once.

Really? Huh. It saves everything for me. :/ I do wonder what is going on with their PC.

Have you checked in your file manager to see if your files are still there? Try this.

Make a scene. That's it.
"save" the scene.
Open your file explorer and look for the scene file in your project's folder. If it's there then it was saved, and the problem might be Godot not reading the file properly, although I don't how that would happen. :/

Well, whenever you run your project or run a specific scene/file I think it should save all the relevant files. Maybe they've changed ctrl+s to just save all the files, but I must not have noticed cause I make it a habit to save often anyways.

I finally figured a way, I don t know if that is normal, but when I set a scene as a main scene it is loading without the other scenes, I find the others scenes in file system as .tcsn files, I ;ress them and it is all loading

Hmm, yes, it does sound like there is something strange going on. What is your project structure like anyways? I mean the folder structure and where you save your files.

He's asking where your project's files are stored in your computer, and how the files are organized in it.
