This is intended functionality and is part of the core of Vanilla, the forum software we use on the forums.
also why in the world is this forum being used instead of the much more common 'discourse' forum app or that pbb forum or w/e its call
We have been using Vanilla for years for the forums, and when we migrated to this server we looked at alternatives and decided to stick with Vanilla.
There is no forum app, outside of the website. If there is an app claiming to be the Godot Forums app, it is not published by us.
there's almsot no point in using 'questions' instead of 'discussion' cos when anyone replies it auto tags it as 'answered' so its not good forum software or the settings/options are really bad
It means “answered” as “someone replied”, with answered and a yellow tag as having an accepted answered. I agree that the naming is confusing.
again theres a lot of problems too many to mention not worth mentioning jsut needs to be fixed, if this forum software can make the 'views' only go up only for unique ip, that would be a small amoutn of good
but good to switch it for the longterm,

Well, it is hard to fix issues if we do not know about them. :p
There are problems with Vanilla, but there are problems with every forum software. We choose Vanilla because it is what we have been using, when we migrated to the new server using Vanilla saved hundreds of old posts, and we have good experience with Vanilla.
I am not saying that Vanilla is the best or that we will always use it, but right now it is unlikely that we will change forum software in the near future.
