Need help with AnimationTree..

Hey eveyone, im trying to understand how AnimationTree works, and i got this problem where i want to use 2 animations in same time, like Attacking while running.. wich is pretty easy to understand from the IDE. but lets say i want to change the animation from RUNNING to WALKING from within the code. no idea how to do that..

so in this image, i have animation that i want to change from the code, how to do that?

IIRC for using 2 animations at the same time you want to use a blend theres multiple types, one is a single axis/dimensional blend the others are greater allowing for even more control over animation blending(for an example blending more than just 2 animation tracks).

Thanks for the quick reply, i seen this video multiply times on youtube, as well as few others that didnt helped me much..

all i want is to change the animation that i created at the image i submited on top.. no need to blend animations or anything else..

my 1st animation controls whole body, 2nd animation (the one shot) is controlling only the arms.. i want to be able to change those animation states to different ones inside the code..

(i dont know if its even possible)

Well, you were inquiring about walk and run animation in the first post - using a blend2/3 is best for that, you can just control the scalar blending value then to dynamically change between walking and running, for the arms, again, you could attach another blend or indeed why not, a oneshot(using the filters to make sure it only controls the relevant bones) all in one tree.

The 3d platformer demo uses AnimationTreePlayer(deprecated but still usable in 3.1) showing you how to use it. Basic logic is essentially the same for the new AnimationTree as well. https://github.com/godotengine/godot-demo-projects/releases

Basically I'm not sure why you want to over complicate your life by doing it that way? Certainly should be possible though, see the setter and getter: https://docs.godotengine.org/en/3.1/classes/class_animationnodeanimation.html

thanks for the replys everyone, i managed to solve it on my own using the old AnimationTreePlayer node. using those long lines of codes.. lol
