It depends on what you consider “promoted”.
Assuming you are referring to the badges you may see on other users accounts, there is currently no way to get them right now (at least not that I know of). Many of the badges came from a plugin we used to have that allowed users to add things like “like” and “awesome” to a post. However, this plugin was having issues when we changed hosts and was causing some members to not be able to visit the forums, so we disabled the plugin.
If you mean being promoted like having a different member status, there is no way to get that type of promotion. Other than moderator and admin, which are special cases, all members hold exactly the same status/level as everyone else, there is no promoted levels of being a member on the forum. :smile:
